  1. IRC INTRO FILE FOR NEWBIES USING WINDOWS

  4. This IRC INTRO file is ment to introduce IRC to the typical IRC Newbie 
  5. using MS Windows. It is assumed you have an Internet Provider and you 
  6. have some experience with using winsock programs. This intro file focuses 
  7. on IRC itself. It will not go into details about installing or configuring 
  8. the programs you need to use IRC, but if you ever managed to install and 
  9. use programs like WS-FTP, Netscape, Eudora, WS-Archie, Mosaic, WinVN, 
  10. FreeAgent or similar programs, you will not have any trouble understanding 
  11. how to install and use an IRC program (client). Some very good IRC FAQ's 
  12. already exist but they are written around UNIX based IRC clients or handle 
  13. problems and give examples you will never need on a Windows based IRC 
  14. client. That is why this IRC Intro file is made.
